Home remedies for viral fever & preventive measure for healthy life in monsoon

We love rain during monsoon. We enjoy dancing,tea,coffee & snacks with our friend & family in monsoon.However,viral fever  & other infectious disease is very common in monsoon. It would distract our normal working days .Hence,some preventive measure would  support us to avoid viral fever & infectious diseases in monsoon for healthy life.

 

1.Drink only clean water and use boiled water or water purifiers.
2.Change the hand towels after a day’s use.
3.Cover the mouth and nose with a handkerchief while coughing or sneezing.
4.Use mosquito repellents and nets (dengue transmitting mosquitoes usually bite during day time; either early morning or late evening).
5.Keep the wet and soggy clothes or shoes away from dry garments.
6.Avoid eating out and consume as much fresh food as possible.
7. Drink warm water every two hours and carry home-boiled water while travelling.
8.Avoid visiting crowded places such as theaters or exhibitions.
9.Use hand sanitizers while travelling.
10.Cover the nose while travelling on a bike/while seated next to the window in a bus or train.
 11.Avoid getting wet in the rain

Viral fever Illnesses caused by viruses are among the most frequent causes of fever in adults.It is very common in monsoon.The treatment of viral fever is entirely symptomatic and it usually comes down after four or five days. Here are some home remedies for viral symptoms:
1.Adequate hydration by drinking lot of liquids
2.Antipyretics and analgesics for fever and body pain.
3.Steam inhalation for nasal congestion and sinus pain.
4.Salt water gargle for sore throat.

Caution: Avoid self medication with antibiotics. Though it is highly contagious, the chances of it turning life-threatening are quite rare. If symptoms are severe or long lasting, visit your doctor to rule out any bacterial infection
